


While each track charted at digital streaming services and terrestrial radio, the videos combined accounted for millions of views. Four pre-release singles and videos were issued between the end of the year and the spring of 2018. The pair enlisted tracks from top songwriters including Horacio Palencia and Calibre 50's Edén Muñoz, Omar Tarazón, Max Peraza, and Espinoza Paz. Signed to Fonovisia, he and the producer entered the latter's Estudio 13 in August to begin recording and to form a new band. After more recuperation, Medina was encouraged by his family and producer Chuy Lizárraga to undertake a solo career. After entering a deep depression, and under doctor's orders to rest, he took a two-month leave of absence that ultimately resulted in him leaving the Camacho band in the early summer of 2017 - his former employer found out via social media, causing a rift between the two men. To deal with the pressure of being away from his wife and family, he drove himself harder and drank to excess in order to relax. Medina performed some 4,500 concerts with the best-selling group during those two decades.

The singer regularly appeared on television as a spokesperson for the band and enjoyed superstardom not only in Mexico, but throughout Central America and the United States. He began singing with groups before he was a teenager, including long stints with Tiburon, and between 19, with Banda Nueva Ilusion before Camacho hired him in late 1996 to front his own newly formed Arrolladora Banda el Limón (an outgrowth of his own split with the La Original Banda el Limón de Salvador Lizárraga).nnWith his good looks and charismatic personality, Medina was an instant hit with both concert audiences and the record-buying public.
